Shauna Worthington

Growing up on the shores of Lake Simcoe has given local artist Shauna Worthington a love of nature that is present in all of her work. While much of her time is spent painting, she also has an avid interest in travelling, hiking, and photography, and draws inspiration from her time spent in mountain ranges around the world. She works primarily with acrylics, and also loves to create unique mixed media pieces with recycled and reclaimed elements. Giving new life to old and broken objects is both satisfying artistically, and it is important to her personally as she wants to help preserve nature for future generations to enjoy just as she has on her various adventures.

Shauna has always found the creative process to be both challenging and incredibly meditative, and believes it is a privilege to be able to add a little bit of beauty to the world.
