Matsu Jewellery Studio

Jennifer Shigetomi, born and raised in Toronto, is the creative force behind Matsu Jewellery. With a strong foundation as a goldsmith and artist from George Brown College and OCAD, Jennifer has developed a style that’s both elegant and contemporary, blending artistic flair with technical expertise.
Together with her sister and business partner, Lisa, they launched Matsu Jewellery in 1996. In 2004, they opened their first store in Toronto’s Uptown Yonge district, and by 2014, expanded to include a studio and retail space in Newmarket.
Recently, Jennifer and Lisa made the decision to centralize their entire operation in the heart of Newmarket. This new space now serves as their all-in-one hub, with a workshop, office, and retail showroom available by appointment.
Matsu’s beautiful creations can be found not only in their online store and showroom, but also in select boutiques and galleries across Canada and the U.S.
