Art by IVAN

Ivan has worked as a full time painter for the past twenty five years. He has traveled extensively to experience and record towns villages and landscapes of mostly France and Italy. Previously, he was a visual arts teacher in the public system, while painting the Canadian landscape, mostly plein air.

Since the year 2000, Ivan has participated in over four hundred exhibitions, selling work in Dallas, Chicago, Boca Raton, Sarasota, Miami, Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, Ottawa, Windsor, Kingston, Barrie, Parry Sound, Lake Rosseau and extensively in Toronto.

He is self-taught with numerous mentors and some education in Art History. His colourful works of Provence and Tuscany have recently morphed into skillfully crafted abstracts. Years of a developed grasp of colour, balance and composition set these new works appart in their own energetic, aesthetically pleasing zone.
