Bill Lunshof

My work has always been inspired by nature: organic and manmade forms, seasons, land, water, sky, and the things that dwell in those spaces. The work is about color, line, texture and seeing the world from a slightly different perspective. I like to portray rural scenes that often include old barns, houses and vehicles. I’m fascinated by how light affects the landscape and try to capture that in my work. I also enjoys painting en Plein Air and can be found with my easel set up in and around my home town of Newmarket, Ontario when the weather allows. I’m a member of two local art groups – Newmarket Group of Artists where I volunteer my time on their Executive and the Society of York Region Artists where I also sit on the Executive.
