Wallace Artistry in Glass

My name is Beth Wallace and I’ve done traditional stained glass for over 25 years but it has only been since 2019 that I have really started letting the glass speak for itself. Glass is such an amazing medium in which to work. I love the inspiration I get when I look at a piece of glass; like the glass is trying to tell a story. To me, glass has a personality and I love to design and create my art based on what I see in the glass. I love canoe tripping and being outside and I get a lot of my inspiration from the natural world around me. I consider myself to be a non-traditional stained and fused glass artist.
My artwork is very Canadiana. I like using found objects such as sticks in my work along with seaglass and seashells. I also enjoy framing my work in non traditional ways such as antique snowshoes and paddles.
