Dawn Stanojev
Dawn is a cold wax and oil painter. After retiring from a 28 year career in teaching and raising her busy family, she has immersed herself into the pursuit of artistic excellence. Although she has always had a passion for art and would occasionally find time to paint throughout her career. She has continued to study under various artists using a variety of mediums. More recently, she has focused on developing her skills with the use of cold wax and oil paint. By strategically applying and subsequently scraping/removing colours she is able to create an interesting play of colours and textures represented in her unique landscapes.
As a member of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists Board of Directors she continues to study and show her work at the Mill Pond Gallery. Her work has been featured in several RTO magazine editions and in the Fall of 2021 she won the Mayor’s Choice in the East Gwillimbury Art Show. In addition, her work has been shown at the Gallery on the Lake Show and Art on the Fringe Uxbridge. This year she will also be showing at Art in the Park Uxbridge and the Purple Turtle Jackson’s Point.
