Marilyn Leola Brown is a Canadian Artist. She was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Marilyn grew up on the farm. She loves nature and animals.
After studying drafting and design at Seneca College she realized that she could be and excellent painter. Her studies progressed greatly when she took oil painting lessons with Hessel Pape. Later she tried watercolor painting with Helen McKenna. Marilyn now does her paintings in acrylic or pen and ink.
Marilyn enjoys painting buildings and landscapes adding her own special colors and techniques to each painting. She has done many commissions of peoples homes and businesses in this area. Many things in the painting can be changed to suit the needs of the home or business owner. Often there are requests to move a tree or fix a window or door.
Marilyn knows a painting is done well when people put themselves in the picture. When people say “”I can see myself standing at the door””. Or they say, “” I can see myself sitting right there by the river””. Welcome to our fantasy. Please step right into our painting.
